Creom now with numerous UK flooring supply stockists.
Creom is now being sold through numerous UK stockists, experienced flooring
contractors seeing benefits in its fast-track and simple application.
With contractors under ever-increasing pressure to turn buildings over for occupation in the shortest possible
timeframes, flooring contractors are welcoming Creom as the modern alternative to the traditional epoxy
systems. Creom is fast, clean, and extremely cost effective, offering benefits and savings with preparation time
and costs per square metre. Creom controls residual construction moisture, enabling flooring installation and
project completion.
The expression "fast track" is often overstated when manufacturers are climbing over them selves to promote
their product ahead of a rival's. But in the case of Creom UK Ltd's moisture suppressant for concrete, that
claim is fully justified.
Creom differs from epoxy based DPM systems, Its water-borne suppressant requires no mixing, generates no
waste, is non toxic and can be used on concrete surfaces with Relative Humidity (RH) levels of up to 98%.
Since its UK introduction in 1996 many leading flooring contractors have utilised the products numerous
advantages.
It can be used where residual moisture levels are high and contractors are under pressure due to schedules
and budget factors. It is applied easily and quickly using a good quality roller or spray applicator.
Its drying time of typically 1-4 hours, according to site conditions, means that the two required coats may be
applied within one working day, enabling flooring contractors to get on with the business of laying the floor
covering much earlier than if a traditional DPM system had been used. Developed and extensively used in
Scandinavia for more than 20 years, Creom is fast becoming the first choice for many UK flooring contractors.
Application of Creom is simple on both new and refurbishment projects. After making good the subfloor and
ensuring it is free from paint, glue and other material that may impair absorption, a small test application can
be made. This is to determine whether the product will 'absorb'. The Creom may then be applied to the surface
with a lambswool roller or spray. After the first coat has dried the second coat should then be applied at right
angles to the first. When the second coat has hardened, the surface is ready for screeding, painting or the
application of a floor covering.
The Creom approach offers numerous advantages over existing DPM systems, including its price per m2, its
fast-track application, short drying times and non-toxicity. In addition, it requires no mixing and its long shelf
life of one year (two to three months when opened) means there is no waste.
The application of Creom requires no special safety procedures and tools used for its application may be
cleaned in cold water.
Creom has been applied in the UK at prestigious refurbishment and new-build projects for clients including
Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Asda, Mothercare, Homebase, Comet, Curry's and W.H. Smith. In addition, Creom has
been used in various nurseries, schools, colleges, hospitals and public sector installations, as well as HMSO
and PFI projects.
With distributors throughout the UK, Creom moisture suppressant is readily available to any contractor. The
company provides full technical back-up and support, site visits can also be arranged to confirm the suitability
of Creom application. |
