Creom UK Limited are pleased to be involved with the New Stobhill Hospital project, working in conjunction with the main contractor, Balfour Beatty, and flooring contractor McGarry Flooring.

This modern, advanced hospital will open in 2009.  Patients will experience a new era in care and comfort with well-equipped treatment areas and consulting rooms, state-of-the-art theatres and modern, airy waiting areas.

It is estimated that in one year alone the hospital will care for 40,000 patients from the North and East of Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and further afield.

The new £100 million Stobhill Hospital will be one of Scotland’s largest hospitals covering four floors and with a total area of 30,000 square metres.

Work on construction began in November 2006 with the steel structural frame appearing above ground in early 2007. The project is due for completion by the summer of 2009.

Creom UK have been selected to supply the floor preparation products – Creom moisture suppressant and Creom CL Smoothlay latex screed and have worked closely with McGarrys at Stobhill to ensure that the floor preparation work is both effective and economic. The use of Creom products has ensured that effective moisture control and low square metre costs are being delivered.

McGary Flooring have used Creom moisture suppressant on a number of school projects in Scotland and have no hesitation in recommending the product - ‘It saves time and money’ . Creom also offers the added bonus of being a non-toxic environmentally friendly product.

Creom moisture suppressant has previously been used by major flooring contractors on a number of substantial government and PFI projects. These have included schools, universities, hospitals and prisons.

Creom offers many advantages over traditional dpm epoxy systems - it requires no mixing, there is no waste and it is easily applied by roller or spay. With fast and clean application, savings can be achieved not just on the product itself, but also on labour costs.
