There are many types of wood flooring all of which are sensitive to moisture to a greater or lesser degree. As a general rule, we can only recommend the use of Creom on sub-floors with RH levels of up to 90% where wood flooring is to be installed. Where the RH level of a sub-floor is higher than 90%, advice should be sought from the supplier of the wood floor as to their recommended procedures for installation. If external moisture (due, for example to the lack of a physical dpm beneath the sub floor), is suspected of causing the excessive dampness in the floor, then Creom should not be used as a solution to such a problem.
